India v ROW - Ground change and rules reminder

As India get ready to take on ROW, Edgware Cricket Club have announced a change of ground following a period of wet weather that has meant Paddington Recreation Ground can no longer host the fixture. Instead, the game will be played at Canons High School in Edgware and the start-time will remain 11:30am.

Ahead of the fixture, Edgware have announced the match rules:

  • The game is a 35-over fixture starting at 11:30am.

  • Batters must retire (not out) once they have passed 50. However, they are permitted to return to the crease at the fall of the last wicket until they run out of partners.

  • Bowlers must retire upon taking their 3rd wicket or after they've bowled 6 overs, whichever comes sooner. Every player in the team must bowl at least 1 over besides a designated wicketkeeper.

  • Free-hits are in place following a no-ball delivery but test-match wides will be used.

"The InterClub game is always a great way to start off the season. There's a bit on the line this year for ROW who are seeking their first ever win, but it will be a great opportunity for the boys to dust off some cobwebs and get some match practice ahead of what will be a long season" spoke club chairman Ciaran Hosty.
