Biography

Dharmish was an exceptional Edgware player who tragically lost his life at the age of 26. 

He epitomised what it meant to be a club cricketer and was hard-working, selfless, social and one of the nicest people you'd have likely ever met.

​

Having made his debut in 2015, Dharmish made 45 appearances across 7 seasons and was a tidy middle order batsman famed for his cover drive and late cut. His best performance came in 2019 against North London Cricket Club in the Chess Valley League securing a famous promotion-sealing victory for Edgware.

​

Dharmish was the first person inducted into the Edgware Hall of Fame on the 3rd January 2022.

2. Jude SAVERUS

Biography

Jude Saverus formed an integral part of Edgware's early success and was pivotal in the club's transition into Sunday and Saturday league cricket. 

​

Initially a batsman, Jude became one of Edgware's most skilled and effective fast bowlers. He will be best remembered for his contributions to the back to back Chess Valley League promotions in 2018 and 2019 where he picked up 16 wickets at an average of just 14. Jude joins only two other players to have scored both a 50 and taken 5-wickets in an innings.

Having retired in 2022, Jude was named the second player to join the Edgware CC Hall of Fame was awarded with Honorary Life Membership.

3. Nakul JILKA

Biography

Inducted in 2023, Nakul Jilka became an overdue addition to the Edgware Cricket Club Hall of Fame after making more than 100 appearances for the boys in blue. 

​

Making his debut in 2015, Nakul features prominently in both the all-time run scoring and all-time wicket-taking tallies. He's also been a wonderful club servant behind the stumps and previously held the club record for total dismissals. 

​

After more than 11 seasons with the club and having captained on numerous occasions, the club couldn't think of a more rewarding tribute for Edgware's very own 'Mr. Cricket'.

4. Sajith SRI

Biography

Sajith Sriwickramasekaran was a stellar performer for Edgware Cricket Club over his 9 seasons at the club. An expert left-arm seamer reminiscent of his childhood hero Chaminda Vaas, Sajith claimed 90 club wickets and scored over 1,800 club runs.

​

In 2021, he took over as Club Captain and guided the club through it's transition into Saturday Cricket securing back to back promotions in 2022 and 2023. With 54 games as captain, Sajith is second on the all-time list with the second highest win % of any captain to have led more than 10 matches. 

​

Last but not least, Sajith has been a brilliant slip fielder and sits second on the all-time list for most outfield catches as at December '25. 

​

Sajith left the club in 2023 following a free transfer to Bonbeach Cricket Club in Melbourne.

5. Ciaran HOSTY

Biography

Club Chairman Ciaran Hosty was inducted into the hall of fame in 2024 after completing 10 successful seasons with the club. 

​

Ciaran led the first Edgware side onto the field in July 2015 against Watford Town and would go onto captain the boys in blue on 70 occasions (a club record) over a 5-year period that saw consistent success in Sunday League Cricket and the club's first overseas tour to Malaga in 2019.

​

With the bat, Ciaran has scored more than 6,000 career runs with nine hundreds as well as taking over 80 outfield catches at point and in gully (all of which are club records).

​

With over 180 appearances for Edgware over a 11-year period, Ciaran is the most capped Edgware player in the club's history. â€‹â€‹

6. Raj PARMAR

Debut: 13th September 2015 v Monken Hadley

  • Over 30 outfield catches [7th all-time]

  • Best bowling figures on Edgware debut

Biography

Raj Parmar exploded onto the scene when he took 4/9 in his debut match against Monken Hadley (still a record for best figures on debut). Over the next 10 seasons, the right arm quick continued to churn out match winning performances and support an Edgware side which has secured 7 titles/promotions.

​

Raj finished his Edgware career on 99 career wickets (6th all-time) for Edgware and has scored more than 850 runs. In addition, he was known for his rocket arm and agility in the field that saw him take over 30 outfield catches and countless run-outs.

​

Raj's final match for Edgware Cricket Club was in the 2024 tour of Menorca where Edgware Cricket Club secured a stunning win from almost certain defeat. Raj completed a £25 transfer to Kenton ahead of the 2025 season.

Biography

Vidanda started his Edgware career as a bustling medium pacer and shot into Edgware folklore after he took 5/31 against Greenwood Park in a crucial Chess Valley League game. 
 

After a shoulder injury hampered his pace bowling ability, Vidanda transformed himself into a top-order batsman who bowled leg spin and since 2021, has recorded over 1,500 runs with 6 fifties and a top score of 78. He has continued to take wickets too, passing 100 club wickets in the 2024 season.

​

Vidanda became the club's official captain for the 2025 season after several years as vice-captain. He nows sits third in the all-time list for the most wins as Edgware Captain and holds an impressive win % during his tenure.

8. Shuraj VEKARIA

Biography

Shuraj Vekaria made his debut in the club's second season and played a crucial hand in the North London Sunday Cricket League triumph by hitting 23* in a must win game against Fives.

​

Since then, Shuraj has become an ever present player in the Edgware line-up. A fantastic wicket-keeper who has developed ten-fold since his debut, he holds the record for the most wicket-keeping dismissals. With the bat, Shuraj is one of the club's most technically correct players and has surpassed over 1,750 runs with 9 fifties and 1 hundred.

​

Shuraj is also a useful spin bowler too and has played a key role in the middle overs of many a Chess Valley League game and has taken over 20 wickets over his career too.

​

With well over 100 appearances for the club over 10 seasons, Shuraj is a worthy entry into the Hall of Fame.
